Off to Salt Lake!

Last night we enjoyed the Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas concert - the perfect way to spend our last night in Seattle!

We came home and took one last picture in front of our Christmas tree before we took it all down. Don't worry - our Christmas tree tipped over two weeks ago, and it's been leaning against the corner ever since.
We're not so great with the self-timer.

Salt Lake City, here we come!

Our mystery package from Kharkov, Ukraine.

I received a notice in the mail from the post office saying that I had a package to pick up. The only information it gave me was a random Russian name and origin in Ukraine. It made me nervous because I don't regularly do business with former Soviet nations. We Googled the name and couldn't figure out what the package would be, so Taylor went with me to pick it up.

Well, for only $4.25 on eBay, I got this antique Christmas ornament. I thought it was coming from New Jersey or Florida, but it came all the way from Kharkov, Ukraine. Did I mention that Kharkov was Taylor's last area on his mission to Donetsk, Ukraine?

We've tried to fill our Christmas tree with ornaments that have stories or meaning behind them. I bid on this because it reminded me of my mother-in-law's spectacular all-mushroom Christmas tree. Well, with its Ukrainian roots, this little mushroom now has a little extra meaning!
