. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

WEIGHT: 19.5 lbs

AVERAGE NIGHT'S SLEEP:  After our 3-4 week relapse, we're back to going down around 7pm, and waking up around 6:30-7:00am.  Naps are very much hit-and-miss, but at least he's happy!

FAVORITE THINGS:  Strawberries, frozen mangoes, mom's earrings and hair, watching videos of himself, bath time, being outside (like father, like son).

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Crawling (!), loves "drinking" from our cups, drinks through a straw, made it through Sacrament meeting without having to leave the chapel for the first time on his 8-month birthday (this is HUGE for Sam), started taking an interest in books (beyond their nutritional value). We're getting more hair, but just can't get it to do anything but stick straight up.

PLACES HE'S BEEN: Nowhere exciting this month, but his passport application is in!

  • I think this may be my favorite age so far. We have a lot of fun together.
And yes, the slobber beard is a permanent fixture.

Sunday with my favorite drool beard.

03.17.2013 backyard with sammy

The blossoms are popping, so I made Taylor take my picture with Sam in the backyard after church.  I have a million and one pictures of Sam and Taylor, and only a handful of me with Sam.  I need proof beyond Sam's potbelly and clean clothes that I was in his life.

A year ago at this time I was taking pictures of my belly in front of these blossoms.  Time flies!

Love this happy little man so much.

Spring in the Backyard

We spent a lot of time in the backyard on Saturday, and let Sam "pet" the blossoms.  He was in heaven.

The winters here may be grey and monotonous, but Spring and Summer in Seattle make it all worth it!
